Film A Week Ep. 15: “Love & Basketball” (Pick Your Poison Month)

“All is fair in love and basketball.”

After a delay of a week, Film A Week is back this weekend to continue with Pick Your Poison Month with host Patrick Raissi’s pick of the basketball films host Serg Beret gave, 2000’s “Love & Basketball.”

Listen as the hosts talk about the romantic classic with views on the importance of achieving your goals, a bet on which character gets injured first and the beauty and resurgence of Black Cinema. We also discover the first cinematic mention of “The D.”

Stick around to the end for next week’s theme for the Criterion of the Month. Hint: Blondie…but French.
